Here are some pictures of our art director Rachel and her husband Billy wedding. Billy and Rachel went to the same elementary school and they’ve known each other ever since. They have been dating for 12 years which is when they were still in middle school.
At the end of 2013, Rachel was suffering from cancer. She was just graduated from university, while Billy was already working in an IT company. Even so, he took care of her every day. He was always by her side, struggled together, during her hard times. Fortunately, she recovered at the end of 2014.
Not long after, Billy told her that he is serious about their relationship and is willing to take it to the next level. However, due to various reasons, they decided to postpone their wedding. It was in 2017, and they were readier, more than ever. They told their parents about it as soon as possible and they were engaged in April 2017.
Getting married in Bali had always been their dream. They had their eyes on Tirtha Bridal long before they decided to get married. Even so, they visited a wedding fair in Jakarta to expand their option, and yet their choice still landed on Tirtha Bridal and they proceeded to book the date right away. They later went to Bali to survey the venue and had a meeting with the team. As soon as they saw the venue, they felt assured with their choice as it fit with their wedding concept: classic, elegant, and timeless, simple yet beautiful.
Their wedding decoration was by @itstruewedding. Rachel gathered the references first, and the she proceeded to create a moodboard, which was later sent to them by email with thorough description. Since the concept of their wedding was classic and elegant, they didn’t want it to be too colorful. Instead, the colors are dominantly white (including the flowers) and grey with a little bit of greenery from the leaf decorations.
After looking at the reception area, the decoration team had the idea to add a gentle touch of gold color on a few props, since the reception room was mostly filled with wooden color and would look stunning with a warm lighting.
The most memorable moment of their wedding is definitely when they spoke their vow. Being in a relationship for 12 years is something, but speaking their vow to each other, promised faithfully to love each other in life and death before the God, is truly exceptional. They spoke their wedding vow in front of their closest friends and relatives with the altar facing the open sea. It was a moment to remember.
Rachel is forever grateful to be a part of Nomina family. After 3 years of joining, Ariel and Indra are not just anybody to them. They are her close friends, more than just colleagues. During the wedding trip, from the rehearsal day until the wedding day, they were very professional and were able to lighten up the mood effortlessly.
